Burning a disc from WMP

I seem to always have the same problem when burning a WMV file to a disc from Windows Media Player.

It refuses to be recognised by my DVD player. I have tried on a cheap DVD player.

I have tried on an expensive DVD player and I have tried on a Blue Ray player

all failed to play saying "No Disc"

What am I doing wrong?

They format ok and appear to burn ok and they finalize ok.

They all play ok on computers.

A specialised DVD player is needed to play WMP and other computer media formats (AVI, MP4, FLV and suchlike).

Commercial DVD films, for example, have their own system. You can write this format using programs such as Nero, DVD Movie Factory - ad lots of others, some good, some bad, some indifferent. A Google search for "DVD authoring" will give you a large selection.
