Format wont start

As there is no way to bypass my password login, as it for some reason doesn't register my password as the correct one anymore, I have to format my pc.

I put the windows 7 cd in my cd/dvd-rom, it's 1st (only) on boot priority list, and it starts loading from the cd.. But after "Loading windows files" and the "Starting windows" and I get the blue background screen, nothing happens.

I don't get the window that I should get when I format, the cd/dvd-rom just stops working and I'm left with a blue background and nothing to do.

I'm stumped, nothing I try seems to work. I've used English Windows 7 Home Premium cd, and Norwegian Windows 7 Home Premium (both original cd's and never used on more than one pc) -- Neither work, get to the same point on both, then nothing.

This is starting to infuriate me, doesn't acknowledge my password and I can't find a way around it. It wont start the format --

Any help will be highly appreciated, I wan't to use my comp not just have it collect dust.

Ok, I finally got it to load, the format that is. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.. Worked in the end, yibbay.

There is NO need to be sarcastic. Most of the forum members on here live in Great Britain, and are in bed at the time you posted. Even the others hardly had time to post before you came up with your second sarcastic post.

I have found myself through doing several Windows 7 installs that sometimes it will hang for up to about 8 minutes before it proceeds and this has happened to me, so patience is a virtue.
