Circumflex is printed twice instead of locking in

Hi.

When I press the circumflex key I am used to locking in circumflex an being able to type another character afterward, which, withing certain conditions will then be "circumflexed". But if I press circumflex now, it will print it twice instantly. (^^) It seems to happen only in typical Windows Forms text fields and areas. I believe it happens since I have accidentally pressed an unknown key combination in QIP message input field.

I've no idea if this is actually a windows "feature" or a horribly annoying feature of my keyboard drivers: Windows 7 32b, Logitech Media Keyboard Elite with SetPoint driver 4.9.

Any idea? I'm pretty sure it's something very simple. And I don't really recommend you to google for it. Could not find anything helpful so far.

Regards

annih

Hi, and a big welcome.

And I don't really recommend you to google for it

We were not really thinking of doing that, but thanks for the "Heads Up" anyway.

If anyone has the same problem as you with Windows 7, and with exactly the same keyboard as yourself, - someone will be along very soon.

Apart from that keep on watching your post for any replies that may be forthcoming from someone in the same predicament.

John.
