Is this a different machine to the one you are planniing to install Vista Ultimate on ?

That Packard Bell model mit-rhe-b is a laptop as far as I know ?

Are the vents on the underneath clear of fluff/dust ?

Is the cooling fan working ?

As the machine is only 3 months old, take it back to the supplier and ask them to investigate.

Before you do that, though, what surface is the computer placed on? If a fluffy duvet or something like that, it may have its vents blocked by bedclothes - this has been known to cause fires.
