Recommended Posts

need help!

i have windows vista and it ALWAYS works.

i switched it on and its all black with a box in the middle wich says:

"windows acivation

the windows vista ™ home premium product key you typed is invalid for activation"

then it gives me 3 options:

access your computer with reduced functionality(this will also allow you to buy a product key online)

type a different product key

contact advent to help resolve this problem

and in the bottom right corner it says: windows vista ™,build 6000, this copy of windows is not genuine

now ive had the computer for about 2+ years now and i carn't find my origional product key, i need help to get my computer working normly again

(Advent owner with a similar problem)

If your PC is an Advent it will have the OEM Product Key stuck on either the side panel, or occasionally on the underneath.

Build 6000 means that you have still not updated to Vista Service Pack 1
