It works normally except when I receive info or other emails from Microsoft into my Hotmail account; everytime I get one and access it, it loads as empty boxes with a red x in each one. Today for example I got one from <[email protected]> (The Hotmail Team at Microsoft) with the subject 'New features coming to Hotmail'. When I put my cursor over some of the boxes, it turns to a hand and I'm able to follow the link to a normal web page. Any ideas please? Dencandy Posted September 22, 2010 Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 This has happened to me twice in recent years & its a nightmare to solve, but unfortunately I can't remember how I did it! I believe it's actually nothing to do with Hotmail but is something to do with the Advanced settings in Internet Options. I suggest you go to the Microsoft Windows Help & Support Center & type in something like Red Boxes in Microsoft Emails with Hotmail. Or try the Hotmail users group.
