Blackhydra
My secondary monitor will not display properly. It was working fine until Windows did an update. Now it displays for only one or two seconds before the display disappears. I am not sure if the update is the problem so I have not done a rollback. When the display does appear, it is gray/white with a bright white line across the lower middle. It seems to flicker like an old TV before it fades in, if it fades in at all. Both monitors are running on one card so I don’t think that is the problem. The problem monitor is about five years old and is a ViewSonic VA1912wb. The display adapter is the All-In-Wonder X600. The driver is the latest version.I am using an analogue cable from a previous computer for this monitor. Could that be the problem? Please advise. Thanks in advance. -pops-
The description makes it seem like a failing inverter/power supply unit on the backlight of the display. Not a lot you can do, but 5 years is a reasonable life, I suppose.
