Microsoft TeredoTunneling Adapter

Hi,

does anyone know why I get this message in Windows 7? If I go into Control to Devices, I see my Laptop with the Yellow Excamation mark suggesting there's a problem. I run the troubleshooter and it tells me that Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter has a problem.......which it can't fix!!! Should I be concerned? Indeed, what does the blessed thing do anyway?

If you are running Zone Alarm Firewall, the answer is because there is conflict in the default ZoneAlarm setup and IPv6 causing the Teredo Tunnelling Adaptor to not work.

Solution

In ZoneAlarm main window go to to Firewall/Main, click on "advanced" (bottom right) to open up a dialogue window.

Then put a tick in the box "Enable IPv6 networking" (bottom left).
