340six Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 My small dell desk top DV051 intel®4cpu 2.80GHz 2.79 Ghz 0.99GB ramCame with windows XP SP3.It is now at slow to blue screen most of the time. Spybot search and destroy AGV ect will not find a thing.I was going to do a full sysem restore but it will only go back 2 months or so. Belatucadrus Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 Such problems are notoriously difficult to diagnose at a distance, I suspect that unless you get really lucky all we'll be able to offer is some generic advice. Here's my first suggestion download Glary Utilities Free version install it then run the "1-Click maintenance" option, I'd select all options except the Tracks eraser. Then trust it to repair all the problems it finds.It's not a miracle worker but is a pretty good general purpose fix-it tool. If you have any doubts about it create a new System Restore point before running it.You could also then go into the Modules section and use the Windows Standard tools, try running "Checkdisk" and if you have a Windows CD "System File Checker".
