J Jam W
Hi,I've recently installed the windows live essentials update and (as I often do with windows) I've had problems with my mail and other services. Every time I open my mail, it will open the programme, but as soon as my folders are displayed, the programme stops working. I have tried running in compatibility mode for XP SP2, but still had no joy. Problem and solution centre recommends installing updates, of which there none available. After closing the stopped programme, I then receive a similar 'programme stopped working' dialogue for the Live Communication platform, which prompts the same solution.I am running Vista Ultimate x64 and would appreciate a solution or some advice please if anyone can help? Thanks in advance. Both Live mail and the communication platform are still crashing. I haven't created a system restore point for at least a year either. It seems my only other option would be to reimage the C: drive, but I can't even find system recovery. I don't know if it would help though, since this is clearly a program error. Would I just be better off writing a strongly worded letter to Bill Gates?
