The.Fox Posted November 14, 2010 Report Share Posted November 14, 2010 i have a self built system, for the past year i have been running XP and all my games run just fine no problems what so ever. then i install windows 7 and one of my games crashes, so i chalk it up to my system wasn't prepared for 7 yet, and since it operates everything else fine i decide to install XP on a separate partition. i get all the drivers installed and run the game and a bit later it crashes once again. what could be the problem? if no suggestions then how could i go about finding what is causing the crashes? The.Fox Posted January 12, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 CPU was over heating, too much dust was between the heat sink and fan. that game out of all my programs uses more of the CPU than the rest. thats when it would get to be the hottest. this lead to the thing crashing.
