willtsay Posted November 18, 2010 Report Share Posted November 18, 2010 So i want to give my desktop an internet connection via laptop wireless through a crossover cable.Laptop is connected to wifiDesktop/Laptop are connected to each other via crossover cable.Desktop/Laptop can see each other (i can ping the other computer)I turned on Internet Connection Sharing on the laptopDesktop is connected to "unidentified network" and is part of the homegroup as is the laptop.ON the network map the desktop is shown as connected to the hub (on the map both desktop/laptop are connected to thehubDesktop isn't getting internet...
