configuring windows update

Recommended Posts

Sometimes when I try to shutdown my computer, it shows:

"configuring windows update ..%. Please do not shut down your computer."

What does it mean? from where does this updating process occur? What are the updating features?

Can I see later what processes have been updated????

Ok i am going to take a guess and say your running windows 7!

It sounds like your windows updates are set to download and install updates automatically. (see attachment)

Configure windows updates; Go to Start > All Programs > Windows Updates > Change Settings on left hand side of windows. (see Attachments)
