aburningman Posted December 7, 2010 Report Share Posted December 7, 2010 Hello there!A few days ago I was fiddling around on my PC and I ended up restarting it for something. After it came back up, the computer could not get past the "Welcome" screen and there were a bunch of pop-ups that something was missing. Stupid me didn't write what that "something" was, though...So I restarted my computer again and it sent me to that screen asking me how I wanted to start up. That screen that asks for "Safe Mode", "Normal Mode" and so on. I selected Safe Mode but the computer just frooze on the "desktop" and didn't load anything. By desktop, I mean the black screen it gives you in safe mode that says "Safe Mode" in the corners. My cursor was there but nothing would load and I couldn't do anything.Once again, I restarted my computer but this time, something different happened. It loaded a screen just like the one before that asked me if I wanted to start in Safe Mode. Only this time, it told me to instert a recovery disk or something like that. I jumped on my laptop to figure out what that was and if I could get one off the web, because I know that even if I had one, it would be lost forever. Well I couldn't find my disk and I got some help in making one but it doesn't seem to do anything.The computer asks me to put the disk in, I put the burned disc in (which I KNOW is burned correctly...), restart my computer but it just loads that same screen againSorry that I typed so much... Short version?Computer is telling me to insert a recovery disk that I do not have and I can not get my computer to load at all.Can someone please help me? I can post images with my phone if need be. aburningman Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 7, 2010 Uhmm... I'm a little confused.Do you mean on the disc I made? Cuz all I did to the disk was download the ISO from ehow.com and use ISO Burner to burn it to a blank DVD-R. Was there something else I was supposed to do?
