My windows xp snoozes although snooze is off.

My Windows xp is running boinc, which calculates while the computer is idle. So I don't want the computer to snooze. So I want to turn snooze off,

Until 2 days ago, it had been working fine, however since yesterday, this Windows xp began to snooze when it was idle for about one hour or two. Where should I check or set? I check the BIOS, but it's ok. I disabled "sleep button" and "power button", but it still snoozes.... what should I do? I checked registries with Registry Mechanics, and fixed broken ones, but it still snoozes.

I am good at Linux, but am not so good at Windows.

Thanks in advance!

But if BOINC is running, the computer cannot be idle, so perhaps something is wrong with BOINC? Ran out of units to process?

I found this windows box also gave an error. Not out of units to process. The screen turns blue, and says "KERNEL_IN_?????"(there may be mistakes because I haven't read carefully) and stopped at atapi.sys at blah blah(two or three 32bit hex numbers).

Some system files seem collapsed. How can I fix them without clean install? As a matter of course, I have the cdrom, but I want to avoid clean install if possible.

TIA!
