Who's going to drive the Green Goddesses then?

All this latest stuff could have been avoided if the job had been finished after liberating Kuwait.

Bush appears to be intent on having a war and the United States Vice President, Tony Blair (self appointed a**e crawler, obviously wants to outdo what 'Maggie' did in the Falklands.

It wont be long before there are many grieving relatives. I wonder what percentage of the 25% wont be returning.

They will be too stretched to do the Fireman's strike as well..................

The Sun has already started a smear campaign against the unions leader Gilchrist and his sexual expliots.................. !

Its definitely not going to be a normal dispute..........................

The next thing that they (the firemen) will be called unpatriotic..................

News night sez its 30,000 troops...............

The date appears to be feb 15th for complete deployment onsite. .

Bush's target date ................................

We cannot rotate the troops so the whole thing has to be over in 3 months (including the expected conflict)

Apparently this is the maximum force that we can send ...(There are also equipment shortfalls)

Interestingly of the 12,000 page document supplied by Iraq .7,000 pages have been edited by the US because of the USA's involvement in the supply of the original equipment.......

Spot on there bigdamouk. My thought's exactly. "George W trying to finish dad's unfinished business"....I wonder who pulls the strings in the USA??? This mans election was a little "dodgy", coupled with his dictator'ish attitude and willingness to fight - Is the military behind it all and wanting to clear up the middle east? Is it oil/fuel reserves driving it all??? They don't seem very eager to invade Korea to me (and it looks a lot more volitile and dangerous there)...but then it isn't renowned for it's oil reserves is it???

Article in todays Bristol Evening Post:

"Troops Buy Their Own Kit"

"Local troops have been forced to buy their own kit before heading out to the Gulf because they have not been kitted out with gear by the Government.

Army surplus stores have reported a large increase in sales of desert boots, jackets and trousers and specialist shirts.

The military across the UK is still waiting for necessary equipment to be delivered. Contracts were in place for delivery of 20,000 pairs of desert boots, 92,650 desert jackets and 89,700 pairs of lightweight trousers."

Lets hope they don't forget to order guns and ammunition as well.
