Auto Install Certificate

I'm tired of trying to google search this... Right now with outlook we are getting security message popups that says our current certificate does not match the server we are using (we are using server.local inside the office, the cert is for server.com). So I was thinking we could just self cert for .local and throw it in there behind the scenes without any alarms going off from the slightly less technically inclined users in the office... Problem is I don't know how to go about it without having users prompted about installing the cert.

Most are using windows 7 but there are a few using xp.

Issue #2 if you feel like helping is with outlook constantly prompting for username and password regardless of if people enter the right un/pass or not. I know it is closely related to Outlook Anywhere as I can hit cancel on that prompt (inter office of course) and everything will still come and go normally... I can uncheck that checkbox and I don't get the prompt, at least not until the checkbox rechecks itself.

I been trying to google search both and have fooled around with them a little bit... But the best I've done so far is get outlook to only tell me about the cert problem once (used to pop up twice  ).

Have you checked User Account Control settings?Just an uneducated guess.I used a legitamate program once that chaned the settings out of nowhere.I can't recall what it was but it is embedded in a thread around here somewhere.I didn't like that, legitamate or otherwise. It's now a part of history.

Any way you can reinstall Outlook?

Just to clarify some more. I don't think the UAC will help me... To me this seems like it is entirely a server based problem...

For problem #1...

We click yes and all is fine, we receive emails and all... On the cert the mismatch is *.domain.com while when we are internal we use server.doman.local... Only way I can think of to get rid of this is to have another self signed cert that has the local for when people are on the local network. For this to work though I need to know how to go about installing the self signed cert without the users in the office setting off some sort of alarms and asking what to do.

As for problem #2... the checkbox is for outlook anywhere

If I uncheck it, it just rechecks itself and prompts for the password again. I'm using an Exchange 2010 server with *mostly* outlook 2007 clients... The few outlook 2010 clients don't see any of my problems come up at all *I think*
