somethingelse
I'm having problems with my startup of Windows 7 for reasons unknown to me, when I start my computer it goes to the Gigabyte (my motherboard) screen from which I can load a few startup options from BIOS however shortly after this screen appears it goes to a "windows error recovery" screen that reads "windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause to fix the problem:1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Choose your language settings, and then click 'next.' 3. Click 'repair your computer.' Other options: if power was interrupted during startup, choose start windows normally. (use the arrow keys to highlight your choice.) Safe mode safe mode with networking safe mode with command prompt last known good configuration (advanced) start windows normally seconds until the highlighted choice will be selected automatically: ##/20Description: Start windows with its regular settings."The automatically highlighted option is "start windows normally" however my keyboard is unable to switch options with the arrow keys, however those same keys work in the BIOS menus (of which I have access to post screen, BIOS setup, xpress recovery 2, boot menu and Q-Flash, however only BIOS setup and boot menu come up when I hold the designated f key). Pressing the f8 key also does nothing in any of the menus I am presented with in this endless loop. Even when I switch the startup options to "boot to disk" and insert my windows 7 disc I get the exact same loop, nothing seems to be working.I don't know how to respond to this mess as all my hardware is in pristine condition and the computer is a brand new 3k computer with ssd drive, 16 gigs of ram and a powerful quad core intel processor and Nvidia graphics card. Suffice it to say was expensive and I need it to work. HELP!!!
