jack22 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 when on explorer viewing jpg pictures on previewing pane, everytime i have to rotate a pic, after clicking(rotate command) the cursor jumps to the next pic usually my next raw pic file that windows cannot open. So i have to click back on the original pic i was looking at, to make it shows up again on the previewing pane. is there i can do to keep the same pic on preview pane after i rotate it?another "pain" of windows 7 is when i am highlighting numerous pic and usually I will hold either shift or ctrl keys while i click on one pic after another. If i click & carelessly drag the curser even for just a tiny one, windows will automatically make copies of all highlighted files. I've been looking for something that will resize images the same way the Image Resizer in the power toys for XP does. It would resize one of any number at the same time and convert the original or make a copy. Do you know if Faststone will work that way? MANEMAN Posted January 23, 2011 Report Share Posted January 23, 2011 Hi Robert.I dont think the "Faststone Viewer" will batch convert, - but their free "Photo Resizer" certainly does. Here's what they say in the help file: "In "Batch Convert" tab, you can convert images between JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF, JPEG2000 formats, apply advanced options including resize, crop, color effects, texts, watermarks etc. You can also specify the output image names with sequential number, parent folder name, file date time."I think a download of the two would set you up well for what you need to do Robert.The Resizer is only a 1.41MB Download.Hope that's of some help. :) John. I found the FastStone to be slightly easier for my uses although I would recommend either. You both have been a great help. Many Thanks.
