Facebook phone

Rumor has it that a Facebook phone may or may not be under development. It would feature always-on GSP, cloud-stored images, a mass inbox and a location-aware coupon service (see link for more). It reminds me of the MSN phone that recently came out in China. What do you guys think of a potential Facebook phone?

Facebook isn't that type of a company

No, I think the company you are thinking of made a Kindle type reader, or book substitute, or something. - I prefer paperbacks or hardbacks anyway.

I contacted British Telecom and they had never heard of it. If they are not supporting it I doubt whether I would buy it.

The one I have got here at the moment is called Geemarc. I bought it at Argos. It has been working very well and has a speakerphone.

Unfortunately the microphone is not situated in the best of places and I may try to fit some jack sockets to extend it out.

With the amount and choice of phones out there at the moment (U.K. at least) I think a no-name brand like "Facebook" is going to find it hard going to push this one out even if they ride on the name of a social media site. I would have thought a website like that would have a copyright on the name anyway.

Sounds like a non-starter to me. :(

John.

Calling a phone "Facebook" wont work !

Everyone will think it is something to do with the social networking site also called "Facebook", as I have already pointed out in my previous post.

Far better if they made it in the shape of a jelly and called it a "Jellyphone" or something along those lines, if you get my drift.

John.
