samuelchristian Posted April 18, 2011 Report Share Posted April 18, 2011 My computer (win XP) each time the boot always beep 3 times and the screen does not display images, but it seems windows is loading, I can detect it from the sound opening win xp that I hear. bludgard Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 I noticed a slight inconsistency as regards to the numerical value of the beeps.... always beep 3 times....and4 BeepsFour beepsRegardless, 3 or 4 beeps (from checking a few sites) looks to indicate a problem with RAM. The first thing I would try is removing and reseating what RAM is installed on the machine. Then I would test the RAM with something like Memtest85+ found here--->http://www.memtest.org/. Extract the .ISO and burn the image to bootable disk. Alternatively, there is also the option to run Memtest86+ from USB devices. Boot from the Memtest media and let the software run for at least 6-10 passes.CAUTION: When fiddlin' with the innards of your machine, please make sure all power supplies are disconnected and any residual energy drained by holding the power button for 30 seconds or more. Be sure that you are well grounded so that static or other electricity doesn't cause damage to cicuitry.If anyone has ought to add to this, feel free.
