scholesk0
I had chosen to reformat my working windows xp partiton to install Ubuntu Maverick, Maverick disgusted me with all of it's useless features and annoyances so I chose to come back to windows xp but when I reinstalled it my ethernet device did not show up under the device manager. However my ethernet device worked when maverick was present. I have two drivers that are uninstalled the sm-bus and a other pci device, I belive the other pci device related to my non-intergrated navida graphics card. I attempted to download the chipsets for my computers model (the cpu has never been replaced) the model number for my computer is CQ5110F. attempting to connect to the internet on my pc through usb did not work either it ended up overheating the computer causing a shutdown. I have read many fourms posts however even after following the "to do list" windows xp did not detect the ethernet driver-------------------------------------------------------------Operating system (OS) - Windows XPIssue - Windows xp cannot find the intergrated ethernet deviceComputer model - CQ5110F
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You could try http://drivermax.com/ (the free version) to detect your integrated network card. However, if the computer has no Internet connection, it will not be possible to download the latest drivers for the network card.
