Using a Windows seven laptop at the moment and don't feel the built in Camera is that great, plus I have to plug in a seperate microphone. They are invariably low cost items - and it shows.Even better quality webcams seem to have a characteristic fuzziness about them.The best webcam pictures I've seen were from a friend who used a hi def (but lowish cost) digital camcorder connected to his PC. I'd recommend going to your local bestbuy/radioshack/staples and asking to demo various models, they should let you do that at least.
