texhead
Hi and greetingsWhen I need a fresh installation of Windows 7, I install on a separate partition or drive as a dual boot so I still have access to the old installation but have the benefits of a clean install. This leads to a problem of having the 2 installations joined, the latter needing the former in the BOOT process. How can I remove the first install and be able to boot into the second install and be able to delete the files and folders of the first install?Kind regardsTony

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can't you just use the Delete button on the old installations? (It is obviously disabled on the current installation.)

(It is obviously disabled on the current installation.)Hi PatWill that release the OS from the other partitions? I'm talking about the bootmgr file, with dual boot the first install has all the details for the other installs.RegardsTony
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Ah, good question. I do not know the Vista / Windows 7 boot manager, only the old NT boot manager.Hopefully one of the Windows 7 users here has some answer for you.
