pawz7
you could have a look in Task Manager to see what is using up processor time while the game is running - press Ctrl-Alt-Del, go to task manager and then go to the processes tab and see what is going on with CPU. Or, if you don't get on with that, download Process Explorer from Sysinternals and run that while the game is on noting which processes are monopolising processor time. You could also go to administrative tools and take a look in Event Viewer to see if there are any current events related to the game. Also, when you first start the game and the welcome screen comes up ( if it does - I can't recall now if you get a discrete window to click on to start from or if the game starts immediatly), bring up task manager ( ctrl-alt-del), go to the processes tab, scroll down and highlight, then kill explorer.exe. Keep the task manager window up if it hides behind the game as you will need to use it again when you finish playing to get your desktop and taskbar back. Otherwise you will need to do the three keys again to bring it up. When you have finished the game you need to go into Task Manager again and go to Application tab, click on New Task and then type explorer.exe in the box and apply or OK, and that will bring the desktop icons and taskbar back. If you can shut down your AV while you are gaming that can help as well. If none of that works, you could try reinstalling the game again. Hope this helps.
