willmacleod
Tried searching all day for a specific answer but to no avail, What I am looking for is for oem disk(s)Ideally for all flavors of xp, which will accept all branded oem keys. We have a "36/1" disk that provides this functionality, but my coworker and I are dubious as to what other modifications have been made to the disk. I am not looking for cracks of any kind, exactly the opposite, I need as close to msdn media as possible while still accepting any brand of appropriate COA key. I've been reading that a standard xp oem media will do this, but I don't recall this being the case in my experience, anyway I look forward to someone telling me how stupid I am and providing some help :)
Boris
I've never had a problem in using my own XP SP2 OEM disk (slipstreamed to SP3) to re-install XP Home on any sort of PC as long as the original OEM Product Key for the machine that I am re-installing on has been available. Used it for Dells, Acers, Sony, Gateway, HP, Compaq, eMachines, Advent, Toshiba and probably others too :)
