T've recently been indulging in a bit of notalgia and thing about when I used to do The Great North Run  Some of you may remember my antics. I last did the run (half Marathon - newcastle to South Shields) in 2006. Went to Singapore with wife and picked up a dose of Oriental pneumonia inspite of havibg a guaranteed for 10 years anti-pneumonia jab. Over the following new year I changed my ISP, Transferred my website from plus.net to TalkTalk.net. Posted an update that I would be updating the site for my last run the put everyhing on the back burner as I was proper poorly. Lasted over a year before I started to pick up.

Recently, I stared to thing abou how good I used to feel wjie doing the training and tried to read what I had written on my website. Then found the series of disasters. Thought I'd go back into the website and re-activate the links for my blog on the runs. Couldn't get in although the siter is there but only showing the pictures taken in Singapore. Dug out the CD where I had a backup - not readable ( it's a CDRW). So went through my my hard copy files - nothing. I've got the hard copy of the Singapore update and that's all. Found all the sponsorship lists, hospital letters, Traing times etc. etc. etc. But not what I was looking for. Spoke to plus.net in case they still it, told they had all the links but the space had been overwritted :censored:

have found a copy of the posts on here started by Andsom at 10:53 am Sep 21 2003 saying that quote "JUST SEEN DOUG AT 10-50 AM WITH HIS WF POSTER". That brought back memories. So there you have it or not. Part of my life gone into the great electronic dustbin in the sky.

Can't edit the tites of course should have read Oh Woe is me Now corrected.
