jphuntz
I have my task bar set to auto-hide. When I roll the mouse over the task bar and the task bar pops up from hiding, all the icons on my desktop also move up. Some of the icons move up so far as to be beyond the top of my screen where I can't access them. Is there a way to fix this, and also keep my task bar set to auto-hide? jphuntz
I'm using Windows 7, Service Pack 1. I meant to include a screenshot for you, but I can't get the problem to happen right now. I usually have a monitor connected to my laptop (it's on a laptop that I'm experience this issue), and I use both screens at the same time. Right now I'm just using my laptop without connecting the monitor, since I'm working from home. Could that have something to do with it? I have a personal laptop that I use without connecting a larger monitor, and I've never experienced the issue on my personal laptop.
jphuntz
Finally I got a screen shot...only to realize that I don't know how to show it to you. The forum won't let me paste it into the post here, and I don't see an option for an attachment. Any ideas? It's saved in Paint.

jphuntz
My screen shot is 1.75 MB, and I'm limited to 200K it seems, so I decided to upload the picture to Flickr. What the heck. So here's the link for it: http://www.flickr.co...N08/6508116375/ As the title of the picture says, the photo will show what my screen looks like after the icons have moved up immediately upon un-hiding the task bar. You'll see along the top of the photo how the top line of icons is nearly out view. You can just barely see the icon names. For example, at the top right, you'll see only the word "Zone," and at the top left you'll see the words "Training" and "moving u...." There are 2 rows of icons moving out of sight, and those names that you can see at the top are part of the second row. ...By the way, thanks for telling me how to attach.
