How to figure out the minimum security needed for user account?

I want to create a service account that pulls certain security event logs daily and saves them to a network share. I have the script written and it works as the Domain Admin, but now I need to scale its permissions to the minimum needed to access the logs with Log Parser 2.2.

Any clues on how to do this would be great!

Logically, - make the script "Public" (i.e. available), and liase with someone on what you have written within it so far, and with a great deal more clarity on your intentions than you have supplied in your post.

Try to make sure your question is written clearly, logically, and explain completely all of your intentions for your ongoing project.

(i.e. - this lot do not suffer fools lightly. as I have found out in the past ! )
