Install problem: KB968934 - Active Directory Management Gateway Servic

I have an issue with installing: Active Directory Management Gateway Service

Windows Server 2003r2 SP2

NET 3.5 SP1

also installed:

NET 2.0 SP2 & .NET 3.0 SP2

Windows Server 2003 SP2 Administration Tools Pack

Windows Support Tools

I do NOT have the following installed:

Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM)

Tried locating KB968934 in the register, doesn't exist. Is ADAM not being installed the problem? the description of the patch is:

"The Active Directory® Management Gateway Service enables administrators to manage Active Directory Domain Services and Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) or Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) using Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell and the Active Directory Administrative Center."

Any ideas?

0.188: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ADAM is not Present

Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) or AD LDS server roles: you can install Active Directory Management Gateway Service only if you promote your server to domain controller by running Dcpromo.exe or if you create an AD LDS instance (or ADAM instance) on this server.

I would guess that these are the "one or more prerequisites required to install KB968934"

Just a guess mind.
