(Sat) Yesterday we walked the dog in beautiful crisp, dry weather, with the ground crunching underfoot. Today it is back to the more normal quagmire and welly boots. We walked outside at 2am to see some friends off, and the moon was bright, the air cold and clear. Quite suprising how fast it changed.With the sea basically on three sides of us, and very close, we do experience sudden changes. I didn't post yesterday because I have just been made an HSP (Hadron Special Person - I'm so excited !)My work with the Hadron Collider Project means that I will have periods of abscence on various forums that I advise on. (Your loss lol)Dont ask me anything about the Hadron Collider, - I CANNOT tell you.lol Anyone needing technical help that I do not consider beneath me, or a heated argument, please contact my secretary. lol That is her name by the way. ( lol ) Well actually it's Lolita, but we all call her lol.Most of us are so infatuated with Lolita that we have got into the habit of ending all of our sentences with her name. lol So just contact lol if you need me then lol. AlanHo Posted February 4, 2012 Report Share Posted February 4, 2012 I am so pleased to read about your appointment - but are you quite sure that HSP stands for Hadron Special Person and not Hadron Superior Person. There is a difference. A special person is one that would be expected to impart their knowledge - a superior person would rise above that chore, have a haughty and arrogant disposition and be most selective in divulging his knowledge. Anyway - we will miss your regular presence here and your numerous weekly posts which are both entertaining and informative - but we will know that although you are 100 feet underground, dressed in your best overalls, cleaning and polishing the collider whilst dodging neurons and electrons - you will be here in spirit. MANEMAN Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2012 Very disappointed. :( There has been a printing error on my certificate that I have only just noticed. Instead of saying "Hadron Special Person", it does in fact say "Hardon Special Person" I shall of course get them to alter it to "Superior" Mr Ho.
