Neff
On my windows 7 lap top (right now I'm on my family computer) i decided to do a optional update because i was bored and i did it and it restarted like usual, but when i got back on my computer it became so slow i couldn't even click the start button without it freezing up and when i click on the browser nothing happens. The only way to use my lap top now is if i go onto safe mode. What happened?
bludgard
Some updates can run the CPU up to15-20 minutes after restarting following the updates; thereby rendering the machine sluggish for a bit.If this seems like a permanent issue, have you tried System Restore to try to reach a state before the update? Can the update that seems to have caused or coincided with the unresposiveness be revealed? Perhaps a key will be found there.... :) Jobe
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can you tell us which optional update you installed? If it was anything with .NET Framework, that can take hours of background assemblies after the basic install.
