LordExies
Okay, I am running windows 7 and Windows media player 11.I don't really have a problem, I just have a question: Is there a way to have the bands display in alphabetical order then have the albums display in order of date from oldest to newest?like: Nirvana-Bleach 1989-Nevermind 1991-Incesticide 1992 Normally it would display it: Nirvana-Bleach 1989-Incesticide 1992-Nevermind 1991 So, is there a plug in or anything that could help with this? Thank you for the help
LordExies
And I do know you can change the organization settings, they just don't stay that way once you click a different artist.
MANEMAN
Hi Welcome. I can see at least three possibilities straight off without need for getting over-technical with your problem. Rename original files/folders too: Nirvana1989 Bleach1991 Nevermind1992 Incesticide or Nirvana001 Bleach 1989002 Nevermind 1991003 Incesticide 1992 or NirvanaA - Bleach 1989B - Nevermind 1991C - Incesticide 1992 In all three instances the prefix whether numerical or alphabetical, if correctly tied to the year will keep the list in chronological order. The bands will automatically stay in alphabetical order as usual. PREFIX EXAMPLES:1973197419781989ABCD001002003004005006007008009010011All, whether alphabetical or numerical are running in order. LordExies
Thank you for the help, I was thinking about doing that and I was going to do that as a last resort. I just didn't want to go through all my things albums and rename them, I have 250+ albums. I guess I'll just have to get it over with, Thank you. MANEMAN
I would mention it is worth looking at a batch renamer perhaps, but usually it is going to take longer to set it up for purpose than it is for you to do it manually. :( Thanks for coming back with a reply.
