darknoobie
At our work we had our router fail. The router is set to site-to-site VPN with a remote office. Before we were able to browse the servers and shared files. Now we cant and only way to access is by manually setting "\\servername\directory\". Anyone has had this issue before? bludgard
At our work we had our router fail. Was another router put in place of the failed one? If so; what exact make model? Sounds as if there are permission issues at logon?
darknoobie
We got the router fixed and nothing in the permissions were changed. We just reloaded the config backup we had. We can access them but now browse
bludgard
If the router was "repaired", delete the network connection by name (or all of them on all machines) and rebuild it with non-similar in name. This may be a bit**, but Windows remembers sh** and short of a reinstall of all macines there is the slghtest chance of getting back to where the netwok used to be. Maybe the admin of the network would care to spend $500 U.S. (that's at half price) to do whatever he/she wants. The router has in effect been reset (something akin to a clean install), it is open but will only react with new input. [blame it on Windows]: Just remember to create "new" network(s).
