battlefront123
Hi, I am having a problem with extending my C: drive. I created a new partition to put Ubuntu on, but the Ubuntu installation automatically creates a new partition. I ended up with about 250GB of unallocated space, and I can't add it to the C: drive. Can anyone help? Thanks.
bludgard
Boot back to the Ubuntu CD/DVD (live media) and format the Linux partition as NTFS. Windows will not recognize Linux style file systems. You may also do this from within windows with something like the programs offered on this page. Be sure to pick software that will recognize whatever file system you formatted the partition with (ext2, ext3, ext4, etc.).Hope this is helpful. Warning: Always back up your machine in the form of system/disk image before fiddlin' around with drives, partitions, volumes or anything else that has the potential to brick the machine. Please do so now as there may not be another opportunity.
