I set firewall and I define allowed IP for RDP connections. Have you any tips for better security? Thank you.
MANEMAN
Welcome. What are your access requirements? Do you just wish to access data from the server, or control the Windows 7 PC as well ? Can you explain your current setup with a little more detail please. Did you connect your Windows 7 computer to your server like this ? Are you using WHS 2011 ? Have you thought of using Microsoft Forefront Client Security ? Is it your intention to encrypt/decrypt streaming data ? Have you set up the firewalls on incoming and outgoing routers ? I think you now have a few clues yes ? Below is the video for installation of Forefront Client Security. If all of this is more than you really need and all you really want is just to stay in touch with the wife or girlfriend Computer2Computer when you are at work, you could do far worse than "Teamviewer" which offers encryption and a VPN if required.
