marc05 Posted April 5, 2012 Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 I have a 500GB SATA HDD in a HP Compaq Presario CQ60 and on startup a message comes up saying "Boot Device Driver Not Found....Please Insert Boot CD". However when i place the HDD into a Compaq Presario CQ40, it is recognised and the computer boots as normal. Is the problem with the driver software or with the CQ60? Look for HDD controller configuration(s) and or such in BIOS.May be that drivers are needed to support installation to this newfangled HDD. See if playing with the BIOS setting helps.
