Tap To Click

Recommended Posts

I recently had to format my Sony Vaio VPCEB4D4E and my touchpad has re-enabled tap to click. Last time, I simply went into "Mouse" options and "Device Settings" and turn it off on the "Tapping" section. However, this time, it doesn't give me "Tapping", just "Buttons" and "Overview".

I already downloaded the Synapsis driver, but I have been using a USB mouse, if that makes any difference.

I've posted on a Sony forum but the replies were sparse and didn't help.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Mouse > Device Settings > check Disable internal pointing device... yadda yadda yadda should do it.

If not you'll likely need to install the touchpad on/off utility and right-click the system tray icon to disable it via the right-click menu. You can also set it to not display on the system tray in the device settings too.
