ATI Display Driver Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Very long time no see. I do hope all is well

Recently I've been at a loss as to what to do with my graphics driver. I was running a very old version of the driver previous but was in dire need of an update due to some DirectX 11 components with some MMO games but now each time I use the update straight from AMD's website itself, as well as AMD's ATI detect & Install application a few hours of use later I get an error

TYZDM.jpg

(Used imgur.com because file was way too big to upload here.

So I don't think it has anything to do with the adapter itself; I have checked device manager and can detect the device. dxdiag also shows no sign of problems

Here is a link to the laptop I use:

This is the driver I should apparently be downloading according to the website and Detect & Install:

Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D, Windows 7 Professional with ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. Of course, I did also try to update the driver via devmgmt but, like usual Windows self, it says it already is up to date so I'm not sure anymore really...

I'm not really one for using driver downloaders either as I've come across many problems with them - especially the ones that will scan your PC but then demand payments for update downloads.

Other than that, I do hope all is well once more and look forward to hearing from you all, as it's been a long time since I used this site.

Hi friend,

I think you can solve this very easily. Because the same situation i faced while updating my sound driver software.

I tried to update it again and again but not succeeded. But in Device Driver Manager everything looks fine.

The solutions is,

you have to uninstall the currently updated device driver first. Then download the drivers from Toshiba official website

If its not working try a fresh installation of windows 7
