andsome Posted September 24, 2003 Report Share Posted September 24, 2003 Ireland is to ban smoking in public places including pubs. It's about time that it was done in the UK as well. I am all in favour of freedom, and if people want to kill themselves then it is their choice, but they should not inflict this upon others. What is needed is separate rooms for smokers, staffed by other smokers, and let them all kill each other, not the rest of the public. We wouldn't allow people to let off tear gas in public would we, so why should people in general be forced to breath other peoples obnoxious fumes.
