MANEMAN
Possibility of UAC blocking users from connecting on their computers ?Here is a tutorial if you need to get back to basics on your Vista machine.http://www.vistax64....g-turn-off.htmlCheck out possible incompatibity of other operating systems on the network to interact with what you are using on Vista. ( You didn't say what they were.)Vista and Windows 7 do not play nicely together, but there is a workaround. If all of the operating systems on the network are Microsoft Windows you shouldn't have much trouble getting it all working ok."When a computer on the network has password protected sharing turned on, you will need to create a user account with a password on that computer to be able to connect to and browse that computer for sharing. To prevent shared folder connection failures, use your same computer user account username and password when creating a user account on each other computer on the network you want to share with.If password protected sharing is turned off, computers on a network that do not have a user account with a password on your computer will need to use the Guest account. The Guest account must be turned on for them and allowed to share the file or folder."By the way. - Upgrading things is always an option. - and most times a darn good one too. :)John.===========================
