File Manager Favorites Win 8

I have been using the Win 8 RTM since it was released and purchased Win 8 Pro soon after the release. The favorites in the file manager worked the same as Windows 7. However a week ago for some reason unknown to me when I click on one of the favorites in the file manager it jumps to the location under the drive expanding all directories in its path. Is anyone else experiencing this? Although it makes sense its very annoying as I often jump back and forth between favorites now its all scrolling up and down in the left nav bar to get around because some of my directory trees become very complex instead of just being able to click between favorites unhindered. I hope there is some way to fix this back and this wasn't some new windows update change. If no one else is having this issue, tried searching but no luck, any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks!

Introduction to System Restore in Windows 8

Have a look also through the Windows 8 Help Guides here on the forum: http://forums.window...248#entry332228

Give particular attention to the first video "refresh tool".

Peruse other articles and links within those articles which may lead you to a fix.

Making a "disk image" of your operating system in the future will help you to avoid similar circumstances holding back your computing pleasure.

John.
