Boot CD issue

I have a windows 7 bootable DVD. I tried to install it on my machine but the CD is not detected. I tried BIOS settings with boot priority and devices. Changed DVD reader. But that isn't working. if I open that DVD in windows explorer then all files are in place.

Now when I tried to install with the same disk on another machine then it was successful.

What could be the reason for this issue?????

Excuse the belated reply, my friend. The waters are swift and the gold awaits.

Uninstall the CD/DVD drives device drivers via Device Manager and reboot the machine. Then turn the machine OFF and boot from Win7 DVD (F-12 or Esc keys will usuall bring up one-time boot options. Please look for this key at boot and employ its use if possible).

Try booting with a different type of bootable DVD; say someting light and friendly like Lucid Puppy --> http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/puppy-5.2.8/lupu-528.005.iso

Foun here --> http://puppylinux.org/main/Overview%20and%20Getting%20Started.htm

Burn the image to CD and DVD: Try booting with both to test the abilities of the optical drive.

No loss if this doesn't help diagnose the issue; Puppy has always been one of my favorite tools.

If all works out and the Windows 7 disk still doesn't boot:

Wipe the install drive (after creating a back-up image of said drive) for about 5 minutes and try the install again.
