It suddenly started to malfunction eg programs would shut down unexpectedly and everything was slow. I suspected malware or a virus.On my first attempt to scan the system, Malwarebytes would not install at all. Nor would Spybot S&D. Finally, I rolled back the system and managed to install RKill and Malwarebytes in safe mode. I scanned the system and found a few nasties - but only 5. I then installed Spybot and that worked too.I rebooted but neither piece of software will open in "full" Windows mode. There is no activity at all.I can't work this out :(note added:I have rebooted into safe mode again and Malwarebytes etc. exist again. Not sure what to do next.
