Reignfire
Here's my problem. I bought the Windows 8 Pro upgrade before the price went up and installed it on a clean hard drive (64 bit). During installation I entered the activation key that came with the disk and everything installed correctly. Now I'm trying to activate Windows using my Windows XP Home 32-bit cd key but when I try it tells me that it didn't activate. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you. Reignfire
The reason I didn't install and activate XP first is because it's just the 32 bit version and I want to use the 64 bit version of 8. My XP key isn't being used on any other PC. I read that this is the only way to go from 32 bit to 64 bit (clean install). Is there another procedure without going through the hassle of talking to a service rep?
