crev64
This one has be scratching my head trying to figure out what's going on. I have a computer at working using Windows XP. I am an engineer and primarily use to programs on the computer, Autodesk Inventor 2009 and Mastercam X5. The first is a CAD program, the second is a CAM program. I didn't have much of a problem with either until last week. Windows updated itself overnight, and when I got to work in the morning and tried to use Mastercam, it was crashing before it would open. I tried restarting the computer, and repairing the program, neither of which worked. Inventor was working fine during this time. I did a system restore to a week or so ago so that it would reverse the Windows update. After doing that, Mastercam began to work fine, but now Inventor won't work properly. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Inventor and it still occurs which makes me think its a Windows problem. So when I start the program, Windows Installer will always appear. it doesn't say what it's trying to install it just comes up. Then it disappears and a new window of Windows Installer comes up. It seems to make no difference if I let this happen or cancel it. Eventually it allows the program to open and it will work unless I do something even a little bit complex, in which case Windows Installer comes back again and again. After this cycle the program just crashes. Does anyone have any idea what's happening here? Thanks
