Player1
My Windows will not start... Last night, there was a power surge, and my laptop shut off since I didn't have the battery in it. I had iTunes up and was working on songs (changing Titles, Albums, Artists, etc.). iTunes had been freezing every time I tried to edit more than one songs, and had done this at least five times. I restarted my laptop 3 times, and that didn't fix it. This morning, I woke up, and Windows wouldn't load. I get an option to go into Windows Startup Repair, or enter it normally. I enter Startup Repair, and it comes up to a blue screen with a design on it, and stays there, no options or anything. I start Windows normally, and it restarts my laptop, or it freezes with the Windows symbol still glowing. I tried entering various safe modes and whatnot, and those just restarted my laptop, too. And I'm not really sure what to do at this point... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-pops-
It is quite possible that you have irreparable damage done to you machine. Power surges are notorious for that although it is less common on laptops because of the normal presence of the battery - which you didn't have. I think this is going to require the "hands-on" services of a computer engineer.
