Guest Cookie
Madboy, get a higher Wattage power supply. Also make sure you have enough fans for cooling.I'll soon be getting a new motherboard, another ASUS, and a 2Gig or so AMD Athlon. The rest of my 'bits' are OK for now. My existing m/b and processor will go in my sons 'puter.Have you noticed there is now a 3.6Gig processor on the market?

Guest Damo
For my desktop i was thinking of a new cpu, probably a 2800xp, and new graphics card....either a gf4 -4600 or raedon 9700, both of which will make a vast difference to my current setup a amd1300 and gf3ti200, OH i almost forgot my b/band is winging its way to me via royal mail!!!!Damo :D I dont think ill bother doing anything else as my P4 1800 Sony laptop takes care of that!!!!! peter e
:D I've just recently bought one - not a super-duper one, but adequate and all I could afford (just about). It was a little more expensive because I'd set my heart on a TFT monitor. The next time I'm ready to buy a PC I will want a portable (not for a long time yet) and they may have just about sorted out those tablet PCs by then. I rather fancy one of those but they're too expensive at present - but I think, in a couple of years, they will be the portable machine to buy. What do you think? :rolleyes:Pete
Guest Cookie
Madboy, that's just WATT you need :D . Don't forget, AMD's run hotter than Pentium so cooling is more important. Only 4 PCI slots? Erm, you sure you are planning for the future? 2 used already. :(
