accidentally changed the restrictions in gpedit.msc to enable listed files. when I restart my computer the admin cannot also open any .exe files. Error says “This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.”

I still open some files like firefox, notepad, wordpad but not the command prompt, .bat files, registry and .msc..
I try to run it in safe mode but i cannot access it.
Is there any way to reset the gpedit to default by deleting some files in folder?

Please help

One can boot from install media and access CMD from there.

To reset gpedit to default > type:

diskpart > enter
list volume > enter

Note the boot volume and enter it in follwing CMD:

RD /S /Q your boot volume:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy > enter
RD /S /Q your boot volume:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicyUsers > enter

Back to default

Or System Restore, System Image Recovery, Startup Repair etc.
