Startup Issue?

When my computer goes into sleep mode or is restarted, it does not load up properly. Each time it will go into Startup Repair and Windows will eventually start and let me log in as usual and seems to work fine-until it needs to be woken up or restarted. Sometimes I will get the blue screen, other times it just goes to the repair. My antivirus is not finding any issues. Newest issue is Internet Explorer is no longer responding. Not sure if they are connected. Any ideas? It is an HP laptop with Windows 7.

Insert Windows install media (compatible with build and version of Windows installed) and run sfc /scannow from Aministrative Command Prompt.

Try disabling Sleep Mode and Hibernation through Power Options.

Delete hyberfil, sys by following this excerpted from here:

Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
Right-click Command Prompt
Select Run as administrator
Grant permisssion to change system settings
In this privileged command prompt window, enter: powercfg -h off (Enter)

File will be gone.

Run CCleaner (free and opt out of other offered installer packages) to clean temp files.

Disable any unneeded servies and/or processes from booting with Windows.
